How it works
- 1
Slide it under.
Lift the edge of the mattress and slide the flat frame underneath. The mattress holds it in place. Nothing gets screwed or clamped to your bed.
- 2
Set the height.
Raise the cradle until it sits level with the top of the mattress and lock the two levers. Press the face pillow onto the cradle.
- 3
Lie face down.
Face in the cradle, chest on the chest pillow, arms on the shelf. Your partner takes it from there.

The head-turned-sideways problem
You lie face down on the bed for a back rub. There's nowhere for your face to go, so you turn your head to one side.
A few minutes in, the only thing that isn't relaxed is your neck. You flip to the other side. Then back again.
A massage table would fix it. It would also need a room of its own.
So the back rubs get shorter. Or they quietly stop happening.

What changes when you add it
- Your face has somewhere to go.A horseshoe memory-foam pillow holds your forehead and cheeks, with an open middle so you can breathe and keep your neck straight.
- Your arms do too.A padded shelf hangs under the cradle on two straps: rest your arms, your phone or a drink.
- Your chest is supported.A soft chest pillow lies on the mattress under you, so you're not pressed flat.

It's still your bed
We won't pretend a mattress is a massage table. It's softer, and whoever gives the massage will kneel on it or beside it.
What Tendby fixes is the one thing a bed can't do: give your face a place to go. Face down, neck straight, for as long as the back rub lasts.
When you're done, the frame folds flat and slides under the bed. No table in the hallway.

Questions
Will it fit my bed?
It fits most mattresses about 6 to 17 inches thick. It needs a mattress you can lift a little and slide the flat frame under, like a box spring, a slatted base, a platform bed or a divan.
Does it stay put?
The frame sits under the mattress, so the mattress's weight, and yours once you lie down, holds it in place. Set it so the cradle is level with the mattress top before you lie down.
How do I set the height and angle?
Each of the two posts has a quick-release lever and a knob: open them, slide the cradle to the height you want, close them. The cradle also tilts and locks, so you can angle it down a little if that's more comfortable.
Won't the face pillow slide around?
It's held to the cradle by two hook-and-loop strips, so it stays where you set it.
Can I lean on the shelf?
Rest your arms, a phone or a drink on it. It hangs on two straps, so it isn't built for your full weight. Don't push yourself up off it.
How do I put it away?
The frame folds flat with the cradle on it. Slide it under the bed or into a closet.
Is it a good gift?
It's one of those gifts for two: the one who gets the back rub and the one who gives it. It comes as one complete set, so there's nothing else to buy.
Is it a medical device?
No. It's a face cradle for your bed. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything.
How much is shipping?
Free, on every order.
